Copyright infringement
-
I found one of my full posts on a bogus ‘health’ site today, that has lots of adds and once you click around you find the sexy ads with “Play now discretely.” I’ve read the WordPress copyright info. It’s not a WordPress.com blog so I know they can’t do anything.
From your experience, is it really worth my time and effort to leave a comment and ask them to remove my material from their blog or is this just a big waste of time?
Thanks, Sandra

Hi, I’m new to the blogging world and I am relatively new to all this copyright stuff… are there any good books/websites with the rules of copyright online …. in regards to images and lets just me posting up recipes from a cookbook.
Thanks,
Bex.ps, sorry I kinda stole this thread cause it was similar.
pps. sorry to hear your stuff got stolen sandra! -
Posting recipes from a cookbook, unless the cookbook is over 100 years old OR you have the author’s written permission, is a no-go.
There are LOTS of books about copyright. You might want to check http://eff.org for some guidelines

OK, so I left a message at the bogus site and they didn’t have comment moderation turned on. So at least anyone who comes to the site will see my request to remove the stolen article. We’ll see what happens.
