Copyright my magazine
-
Hello,
I would like to add a copyright mention at the bottom of my magazine dispatches.com. I watched the video for the Watson theme and they explain how to do it but the option is not there in the subscribe tab. What should I do?
Thank you.

Hi Charlotte.
The built-in option to add a footer credit isn’t available on the WordPress.com version of Watson, however, you can it’s possible to add your copyright with some custom CSS here.
If you’re not familiar with CSS, it’s a coding language that’s used across the web to change the appearance of websites. Here at WordPress.com, it’s possible to add custom CSS to change certain parts of your site’s design:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#custom-css
To add custom CSS, you firstly need to go to My Site in WordPress.com then choose the option to Customize In the left sidebar. You’ll reach what’s known as the WordPress.com Customizer:
https://wordpress.com/customize/dishpatches.com
From here, click on the CSS tab. Below the introductory text in the resulting editor, copy and paste the following CSS:
footer[role="contentinfo"] .byline:before { content: "Copyright 2015 | "; }The above CSS snippet will add some text alongside your site’s existing footer credits. You can replace ‘Copyright 2015’ with the text you wish to display in its place.
Hope this helps out! If you’re interested in experimenting a little more with custom CSS, we have a dedicated support forum where staff and volunteers help out:

Let me know if you have any extra questions on that.
