Copyright of header image in Twenty Eleven – can I modify this image?

  I’m using Twenty Eleven, and I quite like the header image (the one of the rocks and ocean) but I would like to customise the image and add a title and logo to it. Is this OK from a copyright point of view? I don’t want to infringe the copyright of the theme’s designer, so if it’s not OK I would use something else.

  Everything in the themes here at wordpress.com is GPL open source licensing as I understand it, so modify away.
