Copyright Protection Needed

  I am a published author who needs Copyright Protection on my WordPress site. Unfortunately, it is not available on WordPress.com hosting. This plug-in cancels right-click copy and prevents the taking of any material from the WordPress site. I have used it for years on my self hosted site and it works perfectly.

  This is an absolute MUST for Authors!

  The Plugin: Copyright Protect by Digiprove is an excellent, simple plug-in, Please add this as an available plug-in so that I can host my Authors site on WordPress.

  Just an added note: if this plug-in is not allowed by WordPress, I will have to cancel my new subscription to WordPress.com.

  I cannot allow the contents of my 5 books to be stolen from my web site. The ONLY way to protect the content is by Copyright Protect, the plug-in.

  I will wait a few hours for a response from the WordPress support team–then I will need to cancel my account and get a refund.

  It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress sites. If this is essential, you will need to move your site back to a self-hosted option.

  Having said that, there’s really no fool-proof way to prevent people from copying your content if they are inclined to do so.

  I doubt that WordPress.com will add this plug-in or a similar one for one simple reason: it’s really easy to get around.

  Just do a Google search for “can’t right click on webpage” and you find tons of easy ways to get around right-click restrictions that websites try to enforce.

  Unfortunately, there’s no such thing as a “one-click” solution to preventing theft of copyrighted materials. When a thief want to steal content, they will find a way to do it one way or another!
