Coraline: Featured articles in Featured widget area

  Is it possible (an how) to visualise Featured articles in the featured widget area (top right)?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Here’s the link to the detailed theme description for Coraline:

  I don’t see anything at all stated there about a “Featured articles in the featured widget area (top right)”.

  Coraline
  A featured image that is at least 990 x 180 pixels will be used as the header image for that post/page (if the featured image is smaller than these dimensions, then the theme will display the custom header image, if one has been added). http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#other-featured-images

  You can always put links to your favorite posts in a text widget, and give the widget the title “Featured Articles.”

  I saw that staff article, timethief, and I use Coraline, but I like to keep it simple. I’ve never become a regular reader of a blog because of its appearance. Content is everything.

  Agreed. I’m visually challenged and distracting widget laden blogs do not encourage me to follow at all. The more decorative and cluttered a blog is the less the chance there is that I will follow the blog.

  Thanks for your answer. Actually i know how to personalize text widget and that would be the solution if nothing better is possible, but what i would like to have is a widget where an article or abstract of an article or so could be.

  There is no such widget. You need to use a text widget and create your own.
