Correct image for Pinning

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

When i try to pin my blog’s images onto my Pinterest board, I see my Gravatar image showing up too, along with all other images on my home page. How do I get it to show only the one that’s being selected to be pinned?

    Hi Ranjana!

Can you tell me a little bit more about the issue you’re having? Are you using a Pinterest sharing button on your site? Or are you copying the link to your post and pasting it into a new pin on Pinterest?

    Hi,
Yes, I am using the Pinterest sharing button on my site. When I am in a particular recipe post, and click on the ‘pin it’ button that appears when I hover over the image, I see all the images showing up (including my Gravatar pic) instead of the one pic related to the recipe.

I don’t know if I am being clear with my explanation. Please let me know!

    Regards,
    Ranjana

Are you logged into Pinterest when this happens?

    Hi timethief,

Yes!! And I tried without logging in to pinterest, and only the relevant pic shows up.

    Why does that happen?

    And thank you!! :)

Thanks for the follow up! I took a look at your site, and you don’t currently have our “Pin It” buttons popping over your images. Are you using the Pinterest browser extension for this?

If you are, I believe this would be related to that and not something we can control. You can try reaching out to Pinterest if it’s an official extension though.
