Correct way to connect google apps domain to wordpress?

  I have a google apps acount and purchased a domain name through google which is administered though godaddy. Google apps e-mail is working with the domain.

  I’d like to connect the domain name to my wordpress account while keeping my google apps e-mail working.

  1. Change dns from wordpress?
  Is the correct way to domain map the url from wordpress and change the name servers to wordpress nameservers like this example?
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-email-through-google-apps/

  2. Change dns from godaddy/google apps?
  Or is there a way to change the google apps / godaddy dns setting to point the url to wordpress while keeping the e-mail intact?

  What is the correct way to go about this?

  I’m having a similar problem – I’ve moved my site to wordpress.com from ixwebhosting, but I have no idea how to find the verification code wordpress.com seems to require.
