Corrected errors showing on Facebook shares
-
Hi. When I post on Facebook with the share button, it insists on showing errors/typos in the headline that I have corrected. Can this be remedied? Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It’s possible that Facebook has saved a version of your post in its cache with the old headline, which is why that headline is popping up instead of the corrected version. You can check to see how Facebook will display your post by pasting the link into this page: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
Facebook should eventually refresh its cache and pick up the corrected headline from your post. Entering the link on the page above may speed up the refreshing process on their end, or you are welcome to give me a link to the post where you’re having trouble with this and I can check it for you.

But it happens the FIRST time I post to FB, AFTER correcting the headline. Always. I mean, I publish the blog, see the error, correct it, THEN post to FB and the error is there…always…thanks though

Can you give me a link to one or two posts where this has happened to you? I’d be happy to take a closer look!

Thanks. Here’s one. When I posted I wrote “boy’s”. When I post to FB, it still says “boy’s”

Thanks for the link! I took a look at this post, and the title is correct when I try to post it to Facebook: http://cl.ly/image/141e1f1F1h1Z
I’m not sure why it would still appear with the wrong title when you post it. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies to see if that resolves it for you?
You can also edit the title in Facebook by clicking on the post title that appears and editing it from Facebook. However, the correct title should eventually appear automatically after you correct it on your blog. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this!
