Correcting the name of an account

  I recently received email from wordpress.com with a button to push to activate my account. However, since I noticed that I had made a spelling mistake in the account name, I did not press the button. Question: Is there a way to make the correction to my account name and then activate it?

  We do have a way to change usernames, but it is currently broken. I suspect it will be fixed sometime this week.
