Corrupted notifications on tablets

Our club blog is followed by more than 100. Many of them receive alerts on their tablets as well as their PCs. Some have reported that notifications received on their tablets (iPad, Android, Playbook) are corrupted while the PC version reads OK.
I personally receive confirmatory notifications of posts via 3 independent email addresses and none of them are corrupted on my iPad.
Do you have any suggestions as to the cause and possible remedy?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you let me know a bit more about what you mean by “corrupted”? Are the emails not opening when they’re accessing their inbox from their tablet? If possible, could you have them forward a screenshot to you to upload to your Media Library so I can take a look? Otherwise, if you could just let me know some of the dialogue in the error message, I’ll be happy to investigate further!

Above you see a text version of a corrupted email. I have uploaded a a screen capture from an iPad of a different email. You will find it in our media library at lantzvilleprobus.org named “corrupted email.gif”.

Thank you for the screenshot. I’m still investigating, but I just had one more question. Is the email only appearing corrupted when you view from your iPad? If you view it from your laptop/desktop, does it load properly?

That is the strange thing, Jeremey. It only appears corrupted om SOME tablets, not all. I, for instance, do not see this phenomenon on my own iPad despite the fact that I receive 3 confirmatory emails via 3 independent addresses, but others have reported problems with iPads, Playbooks and Androids.
In all cases the emails load cleanly when viewed on the same individuals laptops and desktops. -
By any chance, for the folks that have reported the emails as corrupted, do they share the same email service (Gmail, for example)?

Yes, they are all with Shaw.ca but then so do I and others not similarly affected so the conundrum deepens!

That’s very odd. I haven’t had any additional reports of corrupt emails. It looks like you have a post scheduled to go up soon. I went ahead and subscribed to your blog so I could check out the new post through my iPad. I’d like to see if I can reproduce the issue in some fashion. Can you please confirm that the new post will go up in the upcoming days?

Yes, we have a post scheduled to go out on the 24th. There may be one earlier though it looks unlikely at present.

Yep! I received that latest post. Interestingly enough, it looks fine on my iPad in Mail. A few notes:
- Are the users experiencing trouble in another app (not the default Mail app)? Something like Mailbox for example?
- Did you say that the trouble is isolated to shaw.ca email addresses or that you’ve experienced it on others as well?

Keep in mind that this problem is experienced by users on various tablets. It is not isolated to the native iOS Mail app but is seen on Androids and Playbooks although all my iPad correspondents do confirm they use the native app (as do I, and I am not affected).
All of the folk who have reported the problem are shaw.ca customers…. but then, so am I. The plot deepens! -
