Cost

    Hi there,

You can have a free site and free domain name. When you start to create your site, there are one or two options for free domain names, listed under the recommended domain name. When you are asked to select a plan, there is an option to have a free plan at the top of the page.
You can also publish the site for free. When you go to make your site live, it will ask again if you want to buy a domain name or a plan, but there are options to keep the free domain name and plan.

If you want a custom domain name, the cost of a domain name varies, but the recommended one usually renews at £18 or £19/year (at least in my experience).

All plans are billed annually or biannually, although the price is stated per month.
The Personal plan is £3/month, the Premium plan is £7/month, the Business plan is £20/month, and the eCommerce plan is £36/month.
If you want to try out features of the paid plans, that will require you to upgrade, but WordPress offers a full 30-day refund on all plans if you aren’t happy with it.

You can find out more about prices and what upgrades offer by going to My Site > Plans or https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/.

    I hope this helps!
