Cost comparison

    My domain is currently registered with namesco, but I have had endless problems formatting my website and getting tech support from them. I’m looking to transfer to another server.

    This is a current breakdown of my costs:
    – 2x2GB mailboxes – £3.49 monthly
    – Website builder – £99.90 for the year
    – .com domain – £29.98

    I am in the very early stages of setting up my freelance business – could you advise how much a WordPress site might cost in comparison, if I transfer the domain for £15 a year.

    I’m glad to hear you’re considering WordPress.com as your new host :)

    To help clarify, since you’re coming from a self-hosted version of WordPress, hosting is included on all WordPress.com websites for free. You do not need to purchase additional hosting from another provider in order to manage your site on WordPress.com.
    
    Additionally, our paid plans are not required for hosting on our platform. Instead, the WordPress.com plans are available for any additional features you may want for your website.     The domain transfer will be free with any of the paid plans; you’ll only start paying for your domain when it renews next year. Bear in mind, though, that new domains can’t be transferred until 60 days from the registration. If that’s the case, you’ll need to connect it instead (it’s also included in all paid plans):
