Cost for Site Redirection, and is it necessary for my needs?

Hi. I’ve been using WordPress for a free blog for a couple of years now and I’ve been very happy. I’m thinking about upgrading to your Premium service and establishing my own Domain Name. Here’s the question: The domain name I want to use is DIFFERENT than my blog name. I know I can do a site redirect at an additional fee, but I can’t seem to find the information telling me how much that costs. If I don’t use a site-redirect, then I assume people can’t use current links to reach me. What about “followers.” Will they still get the notices once the domain is changed if I don’t do a site redirect?

When you are domain mapping what the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com blog is does not matter.
The Premium upgrade includes a domain mapping upgrade so not site redirect upgrade is required if you purchase the Premium upgrade bundle.
