  I want to buy a self hosted domain and also want a cheap hosting. Can anybody help with details, costs, etc?

  In general, you get what you pay for, but I’ve been very happy with A Small Orange and they have the “Tiny” shared hosting plan at around $25 per year, and it will typically do for most bloggers. I’ve been extremely happy them. The $25 does not include a domain name, but as I remember you can register a domain name through them for about $10 per year bringing the total to $35.
