Hi there, I’m not sure I understood your question. You are interested in upgrading jacobh5210.wordpress.com to our Business Plan so you can upload plugins and/or themes? Or did you have something else in mind?
I noticed you had a similar question here, so I wanted to add that one big advantage of having your site on WordPress.com is that our managed hosting is set up with the specific needs of WordPress in mind, to offer the best performance and stability possible. This is not always true of other hosting providers, where WordPress is just one of the many platforms they will let you install on your account, but it’s up to you to configure your site/hosting so it’s fully optimized.

On other hosts the costs are different in that you pay for your “hosting” and then you are free to do with that server space what you wish. You can install WordPress yourself, but because most hosts do not specialize in WordPress they can’t help you with site questions as they come up. They can usually help with hosting configuration questions, but they do not include WordPress support.
