Costs for transferring my own domain to wordpress.
-
Hi. I own a google domain and wanted to ask whether I’d be paying additional costs for mapping my domain, its currently £0 for the first but what about the following years?

A paid plan is required for the first year and subsequent years to map a domain you own elsewhere to a WordPress.com site:

I still dont understand. I’ll be paying annually for a plan, transfer and maintaining the domain??

If you’d wanted to register a domain here at WordPress.com then it would be included free with a paid plan for the first year only. Year two you would pay for the plan renewal plus the cost of the domain.
If you already own a domain elsewhere then you can map it to a WordPress.com site with a paid plan and continue to pay annually for the domain at wherever:

Or if you own a domain elsewhere and wish to transfer it to a WordPress.com site then you can do that by purchasing a plan. In year two you’d pay to renew the plan and also pay for the cost of the domain.
