  Do WordPress not offer .co.uk domains? My situation is that I currently have a .co.uk domain with Mr Site. I wanted to transfer the domain to Hostgator and rebuild the website in WordPress, but obviously with the same web address so I don’t lose the rankings I’ve built up. Will I be able to do this? I am really clueless about how it all works and would appreciate advice!

  You can see all domain extensions that can be registered with WP.com here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ the .co.uk extension is not currently included.

  You can still use it for your free WP.com blog, though: Keep your domain with an outside registrar and then you buy the domain mapping upgrade to connect the domain with your free WP.com blog: http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  NOTE: this only applies if you’re talking about a free WordPress.COM blog. If you want to set up a self-hosted site using the WordPress.ORG software, you’ll need to consult the forums and support documents here: http://wordpress.org/support/
