Could I ask for a refund and cancellation please?

  Hello, I was charged a renewal fee for a dormant page (ablogtoblessafrica.com) yesterday. I haven’t visited or worked with the page since the end of 2013 – in January of 2014 our 3-year-old fell in and was subsequently diagnosed with Leukemia. I did not realize that this blog was set on auto-update, and haven’t really thought about it in over an year- we’ve had a lot on our minds as we go through this 25 month battle through chemo.
  Since it’s been less than 48 hours since the update, or on the grounds of compassion, would you please be able to refund the charge to our credit card and help me shut down/cancel/delete the site please? It would be really helpful to have the refund.

  Hi there.

  I’m so sorry to hear about the battle you’re going through and, of course, it’s understandable that your blog’s renewal wasn’t on your mind.

  I’ve gone ahead to cancel and refund the cost of your WordPress.com Premium plan minus the cost of the associated domain, ablogtoblessafrica.com. The total that has been refunded is $73. Please note, it can take up to a week for a refund to process and appear on your statement.

  The reason that I have yet to cancel ablogtoblessafrica.com is because domains can be very tricky to get back once they have been cancelled, I just want to double check that you’re OK to give up full ownership before removing it.

  If you are certain you want to give up ownership of ablogtoblessafrica.com then just let me know. I’ll then be able to cancel and refund you the remaining $26.

  thank you so much for your help. I seriously doubt I’ll be using that domain name in the foreseeable future, so if it would be possible to go ahead and cancel ownership of ablogtoblessafrica.com please, that would be great.

  Thanks for confirming, I’ve gone ahead to cancel ablogtoblessafrica.com and refund the remaining $26. Your blog, and all of its content, is still available at its free domain, thisearthlysojourn.wordpress.com. If you’d like, you can completely remove the site via Tools > Delete Site in its WP Admin:
