Could not create user

  Hello, I get a “Could not create user” error when I click my activation link. Please advise.

  Been discussed many times before. Without knowing your setup, what you’re using for a mail client, if it’s in html mode or plain text, etc., I can’t give you a real answer. Your best bet is to contact Automattic directly and see if they can override it on teh backend.

  Thanks! I was using Hotmail in html mode in Firefox. The problem right now is that I can log into WordPress.com (i.e. write to the forums) but I cannot access “My Account”.

  Try the direct contact route to see if they can override it.

  Hotmail is probably translating the link to something that’s not usable.
