Could not create user

  Hi. I wanted to create a blog, but when i am clicking at the activation link the resulting window says “Could not create user.”. What should I do?

  It could be that you have invalid characters in your user name, I had full stops in mine & it came with the same problem, Also one of my email addresses blocked wordpress, I ended up using a bigpond.com email address.

  Do not use punctuation in your username. What username are you trying to register? It could well be taken already; you can tell by going to:

  https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/UserNameYouHadInMind and seeing if it exists.
