Could not set up a blog.
-
Horribly unfriendly.
Hello,
I tried to set up a blog on Word Press and went through hours of frustration before finally giving up. Even my wife could not untangle the mess and she is a blog and computer techie.
I purchased the domain name through Word Press but that will be transferred to someone else in a year when it expires.
I went ahead and set up a blog with Google and it was vastly superior in being user friendly. Word Press is not only unfriendly, it is hostile to those who try to use it. I could not get the page arranged, photos were placed where I did not want them and the only edit I could do was to put a space between my first and last name.
Good grief. There are people at Word Press who should be sacked.
And to make matters worse, there is no E-mail contact link.
Sincerely,
John Culea

Hey John,
I’m really sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. I wish we would have had a shot at offering some assistance before your moving to Blogger, but I certainly understand your desire to get your site off the ground as soon as possible. If you have any specific feedback on parts of the set-up process that weren’t clear, please let me know!
You can transfer your domain to another registrar after 60 days from the original date of purchase following the instructions here:
In the meantime, I can help direct your domain to your Google site. I’ll just need some additional information from you. Could you follow the Blogger instructions here?
https://support.google.com/blogger/troubleshooter/1233381?hl=en#ts=1734115
You should receive two “CNAME” records. I will need both in order to get this done for you.
Please note, one of the CNAME records is specific to your site so it should remain private. I’ve reached out to you through email to create a private channel for you to send me that CNAME record!
