could someone please check

i’m altering , page names tag names and a few Categories only in length , i’m going to try and get the blog right as it should be , i know its going to take time
but i have plenty , could someone please check the first page of the painting Category for me it’s the only one that is complete so far , you dont have to open
up the posts BTW , i’m working on a few more at the minute

i have always been told my tags and categories were to long and did not relate to my posts so i’m changing everyone that needs done
if you would just check the painting link you have to make sure that the page name tags and category all relate as they are meant to on a blog

Wait, do you want me to analyze EVERY tag and category on those posts? That’s way too much work to do for free.
All the posts in the Painting category were related to painting, that’s true.

before i fixed them there was gardening , decking , solar power , all sorts in the tags as you said before

Harry, it is looking much better. As a last run through, think about the content of each post and then look at the tags you have used. I think you can still pare stuff down. As an example on your post titled “paint a door” I see a tag named “fence painting” and one called “paint decking.” Are those really appropriate tags for a post on painting a door?

So, you DO want people to analyze every category and tag for appropriateness to every post it’s on?

@ thesacredpath ; thank you for your reply i have a lot of posts , tags , categories etc to alter yet and that is one of them
you said one time , it would be a worth while exercise to do , and it should be finished in about 2 weeks at my rate
i know i will loose a lot of traffic for a few months but i’m not worried about that as it may come back when the fixes get going

I wouldn’t worry about the traffic, I don’t think you will see much of a drop, and what will be good is that the search terms after you make all the changes will bring people to the stuff they are looking for. Search engines a lot of the time will pull out keywords and such from the body of the post if the tags or categories don’t accurately reflect the content, so it isn’t likely you will see a drop.
You’re doing well so far.

thank you , as i said in some above posts i want to get it right , and as you said and i know i have loads of rubbish and unrelated tags in posts , but its a long job :)
