Could valid comments in a foreign language perchance be deleted?

  Since 2009 I have written my memoir on a daily basis – in Swedish for myself and for a Swedish-speaking audience. I used to get a dozen or two comments a year, but suddenly, three years ago, they stopped coming. Could the reason for this perchance be a strengthening of the automatic spam checker made at that time, so that some foreign tongue comments would be automatically weeded out? (I do get about one ‘suspected spam’ comment forwarded to me each day, all in English, and every one a real marketing spam. But I never get any ‘suspected spam’ in Swedish.)
