Could you add line number of HighlighterSourceCode in the edit mode?
-
Hello my WP friends :-),
Now I’m using “New Block Editor“ to write my blog note. In my recent post I’ve found an issue about no adding line number when using code label of “HighlighterSourceCode” in the edit mode. Why I so say? Because before I want to highlight some code lines I must know their line number so that which I can input at the right area of highlight box (of course, once finish publishing my post it’ll show my highlight lines of code).
Could you enhance it on the new version of WP?
Best Regards

Hello lizkarkoski :-),
This post – https://quanwenzhao.wordpress.com/2020/02/17/avoid-changing-the-rownum-query-result-in-an-interval-range/, starting from which, I’m using New Block Editor to write my post. you can see my the 1st “HighlighterSourceCode” with several highlight lines.
BTW when using the code label of “SourceCode” it never shows the line number after I publish my post and this code block’s display effect is pretty ugly (format is not aligned).

Ok, fresatomica :-).
But there has a workaround for me now – firstly I attach my code to UltraEdit (a great Text editor with line number) secondly I put the same code to “HighlighterSourceCode”. I found the line number I want to highlight in UE and return back WP editor window to input it in the textbox of highlighting line number.
Best Regards
