Couldn't delete site from My Sites.

  There is a site on my ‘My Sites’ that I need to remove (a friend added it years ago and he doesn’t have access to it anymore) because I don’t publish on that. I have my own site. I couldn’t figure out how to remove it and it’s annoying when it pops up when I click ‘Write’. TIA.
