  My blog is for a short film which I am releasing on 11.11.11 – I set this blog/site up with the planned intention of including a countdown. I even bought a domain for this. Do I need to move my blogs somewhere else?

  No, you just need to use HTML code rather than javascript. There are lots of options out there, and Timethief has done a roundup of them on her blog. Do a search on http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com and you should find it.
