Counter does not work

  I wonder why the counter suddenly does not seem to work anymore. If anybody could lend me a helping hand, I would be thankful. Everything else is in perfect order and want to thank
  wordpress.com and wordpres.org for at wonderful blog

  You mean the stat counter? It’s been having some problems and this thread at the very top of this forum explains it:

  Ditto, what counter are you talking about?

  If it’s the stats widget counter, do note that the number on that is cached and updated only so often.

  After coupe of hours, my hit couter increased by over 1000 from 1030 to 2466 while the chart showed maximum just only 200.
  Now, my chart have been remainded constant at zero.

  I think the problem has not resloved completely.

  the stats and stat counters have been “disordered” for a couple of days now. There is a pink “sticky” post at the top of the forum on this. The latest update from staff is here http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=2887&page=2&replies=36

  @timethief: i was the first personal who posted the the blog stats problem, but the sticky topic closed. So i posted here. I know the couter has worked fine now. I just dont belive that: after one night my hit counter was increased by 1000.

  Yes I noticed that and presumed it wasn’t really that big an issue. Lots of us don’t believe what our hit counters say these past couple of days. Also if you install a sitemeter from http://sitemeter.com then your concern will disappear. It’s quick, easy and accurate to install.They have specific instructions for wordpress.com installations.

  You can install site meter without hosting the site yourself. I have one and I don’t host my site. But on site meter, they don’t show the referrals but they do show how may visitors and page views. This thread explains how to install it here on your wordpress.com site:

  Also make sure to not have your own visits counted on your site meter. You can arrange that when you get an account there.
