Counter of followers on the 1st page

  Dear Sirs, my blog is shared with LinkedIn, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, ecc. Can you tell me please why the counter of the followers on the first page of my blog doesn’t take into account the number of my LinkedIn contacts? Thanks in advance for your reply. Carlo

  Hi Carlo,

  I believe you’re referring to the Follow Blog widget explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

  Is that correct? If so, that widget only displays the number of email or WordPress.com subscribers to your blog. It does not include the number of followers on connected social media accounts.

  Hi Jeremey, thanks for your reply
  but I’m referring to total followers, that include PUBLICIZE = blog + twitter + facebook + tunblr, in my case. Why not also + LinkedIn, given that I linked my wordpress account also with LinkedIn?

  Hi Carlo!

  I apologize for misunderstanding. LinkedIn currently doesn’t support follower counts. Connections and follower counts are a bit different. The only Publicize connections that will appear in your follower counts are Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr at the moment!
