Counting number of tags and display them

  Is there a way I can count the number of posts with specific tags and display the count?

  I write stories, poems, and screenplays and have tags for “Short Story”, “Screenplays”, etc. I was wondering if I can count the number of “Short Story” tags and display them on my home page or navigation bar.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
