Couple of questions

Hi,
I am putting together a simple site, I had all the content added and was looking at the different themes thinking that the theme would change… the theme…. obvious, right? Well, the “theme” just deleted all my content and replaced it with whatever the “theme” sample content was. Now my content is gone and I can’t find it anywhere. Is there anyway to get it back or is it gone for good?
Also, why do I need to pay for a “business” upgrade if I want to install a FREE wordpress theme I have gotten from a different site?
I tried to contact support via the official “chat bot” several days ago but I have not gotten any response. Does anyone even work at WordPress or is there no support at all?

Your site hasn’t been launched yet so I can’t offer any advice. Content isn’t erased if you change themes. Posts, pages and media will still be there but may need to be published again.
A “free” theme from somewhere else may be free but it isn’t a theme from the approved range available to users here at https://wordpress.com/themes
