Coupon for upgrade

I was wondering if anyone knows where I might find an upgrade coupon to VIP service, which is $99 a year, as my blog is personal and not associated with any business interest which I might profit personally?

Also note that if there were coupons being given out for any upgrades I assume that those Volunteers who have been answering questions like yours for years now would be at the front of the line when it comes to getting any kind of a “freebie” from WordPress.com.

Nether have I. I registered here on April 8, 2006 (6 years) and have answered 1348 threads of forum questions (30 threads per page). I have never heard of a such a “coupon” being gifted to any Volunteer here, let alone, to any other member of the community. -

I saw a box for coupon entry when signing up for free service and I thought it said in the column for paid services “upgrade to pro $99. When I joined a couple hours ago it was an option and slightly less even, stating “upgrade now as it will cost more to add this later”. This must be something very different but it included my own domain and some interface improvements such as no ads, more templates, etc. I’m just wanting to write for my own benefit primarily, much as one keeps a journal.
Is this geared more to professional writers?
