Cover art for iTunes podcast submission

  Hi. I have followed every step of this guide to podcasting:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/podcasting/
  and keep being told by iTunes to change cover art. I have no idea how to manage this, or what it is. Help, please?

  Howdy!

  Looking around iTunes’ documentation for podcasts, here’s what they have to say about cover art:

  Create cover art for your podcast that still works well when scaled down to thumbnail size. Before you create your podcast cover art, review the Top Podcasts section in the Podcasts app or in the iTunes Store for examples of compelling cover art. To be eligible for featured placement on the iTunes Store and the Podcasts app for iOS, cover art must be a 1400 x 1400-pixel JPEG or PNG file in the RGB color space. You can also use specific images for individual episodes.

  So I think the issue here is that the image in your podcast post is sized at 2028×1734-pixels, instead of their requested 1400×1400-pixels.

  My recommendation is to crop the image to a square size, scale it to 1400 pixels, then exchange your current image for that edited image and resubmit your podcast feed to iTunes.

  Let me know if that works if they still reject it, as it appears your feed is setup correctly at http://drdrumsblog.com/category/podcasts/

  Hi Gareth,

  Looking through that article I’m not seeing where instructions vary between the steps listed and the ones in our support article, although your article does explicitly mention the 1400×1400 pixel requirement.

  I’ll add that requirement to our support page as well.

  Was there another issue holding up your podcast that was clearer in that article than the steps listed in our page? It sounds like from your original request that cover art was the only original issue.
