  HI we need access to a former coworker’s account. His email address has been deactivated and we rely on the content for our website.

  Thanks for reaching out about account recovery. Since you’re trying to regain access to a previous employee’s account, here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Visit wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
  2. Click “Recover my account” and submit the form
  3. Provide ONE of these verification items:

  • Transaction ID from any payments made for the site
  • The original account activation URL/key from the welcome email
  • Two-step authentication codes (if enabled)

  Important note: Without access to the original email account, you’ll need to focus on providing payment transaction IDs if any purchases were made. This is typically the most practical option for business accounts.

  Would you happen to have access to any payment records or receipts for this account? That would be the fastest path to recovery. Let me know if you need help locating transaction IDs.
