cPanel?
-
I want to ask about cPanel on my WP Site. I am using a Free plan, so is it not possible for using cPanel? If it somehow is possible then how can I access it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi oddhater,
With WordPress.com, they handle any aspect of hosting so you don’t need to worry about that part and focus on blogging. Thus, you don’t have any access to cPanel or anything like that with WordPress.com.
I recommend giving this support page about WordPress.com vs WordPress.org a read: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ so that you can determine which one is a better solution for you.
Hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

what I was trying to was actually a custom domain… so I needed the servernames and such… is that premium only?

For premium, domain mapping or custom domain is included as part of the package, however, you can just pay for domain mapping only (either buy new domain name through WordPress.com or map an existing domain name). You can refer to this page for comparison between free, premium and business: https://store.wordpress.com/plans/
To map an existing domain name, you can follow steps mentioned in this support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/. It’s $13/year
Alternatively, if you want to purchase a new domain through WordPress and map it on your blog site, you can go to your domain page: https://wordpress.com/domains/, select your site and click on ‘Add Domain’ option. Then type in domain name you want to purchase.
Hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions.
