CPANEL
-
I know WordPress.com doesn’t use a CPANEL, but I’m at a dead-end, and hoping to get some help with hosting and a domain that cannot be found.
I have been tasked with cleaning up domains, registration, and hosting that has been acquired by several people at different times, some have credentials, some do not.
I have access to everyonevillage.com via wordpress.com login, however, I am looking for domain settings (for DNS, transfer, and redirection options). looking up who it is registered with results in ns1.expired-domains-at-wordpress.com – WordPress.com…
So where do I access domain settings? Separately, but related, http://www.everyonevillage.COM normally would be redirecting to http://www.everyonevillage.ORG, but now its some default site…
we are trying to recover a backup for the website: https://web.archive.org/web/20221008164148/https://everyonevillage.org/
and i believe it is hosted at WordPress.com – the credentials to this site have been lost.
So where can i manage domains that are hosted/registered with wordpress.com?

Hi there!
So where can i manage domains that are hosted/registered with wordpress.com?
Much like any domain registrar, you need to be logged into the WordPress.com user account that owns the domain. Since the account you’re currently logged into has no association with the site in question, we’re limited to what we can help with and advise.
Regarding the
everyonevillage.comdomain, it expired on 2022-09-14 and is currently in a domain expiry auction. If the domain isn’t purchased at auction, once the domain exits that auction it will enter the redemption period where the domain can be recovered by paying the registration fee and a registrar-required $80 redemption fee. That process also would need to be initiated from the user account that owns the domain.
So where do I access domain settings?
Under the account that owns the domain.
we are trying to recover a backup for the website: https://web.archive.org/web/20221008164148/https://everyonevillage.org/
and i believe it is hosted at WordPress.com – the credentials to this site have been lost.
While this domain at one point was pointing to a WordPress.com site, the DNS for that domain is currently pointing to Dreamhost servers. Dreamhost also appears to be the domain registrar for
everyonevillage.orgso to change the DNS settings to point back to WordPress.com, you need to change those settings there.I hope that clarifies things!
