Crap, I deleted my blog to clear it and now can’t re-create
-
Hey guys,
I wanted to re-create my blog. The original one I had was an import from blogger and I wanted to clear it out and setup a new one with no content in it.
So I deleted the blog, but now I can’t use the domain :( hassox.wordpress.com was what it was. That’s what I want to use now for the new one but it won’t let me.
Is there any way to get this reset?
Cheers

This is tragic. I’ve been trying to follow hassox ever since he left blogger. Are we sure nothing can be done?

@davidbdale – Deleting a blog takes more than a click and the consequences are made clear during the process. Here is an excellent staff response on this very issue, which comes up more often than you might expect:

If you do not want to use your WordPress.com blog any more, you can delete it. This CAN NOT be undone. It is permanent.
Do not delete a blog to re-import or to remove entries. Contact Support for those issues.
Do not delete a blog to transfer ownership – read this FAQ entry.
Do not delete a blog to ‘free the name’. That does not happen.
If you are sure…
[ ] I’m sure I want to permanently disable my blog, and I am aware I can never get it back or use (blogname).wordpress.com again.
I’m not sure which bit of this was not clear to you.
