Can you be more specific about what you want to accomplish?
What is unsatisfactory about the alignment of your posts? Are you uploading files from Word or another wordprocessing program?

hey 1tess- Usually song lyrics with chords are written with the lyrics on athe bottom and a chord on top
Example:
A Bm
whatever lyrics it may beUsually also on a “Courier font”, Now in the text tab on the edit screen where you upload a post, all the alignment of lyrics to chords are just fine but on the visual tab, everything goes to the left.
Example:
ABm
whatever lyrics it may beIf I as a musican is trying to help pthers in spng/chords contribution, this kind misalignment can be frustrating and not helpful.
I tried to edit the post in the visual tab but when I hit publish it all goes back to the left. Why can’t it just be the way you entered it?

Because lyrics are in paragraph form. You need to align ever single paragraph, unless you align it in the Text editor using Div tags.

Sounds like you might want to use an image (for example, a screen shot) to show the chords and lyrics; or you might try writing a table in html.
Here is how to take a screen shot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
Plus side: you can use Word or a graphics program to make the image look the way you want.
Minus side: Search engines cannot “read” images so your lyrics and chords won’t be indexed. Also, the image may not be a sharp as text would be unless you are using a very wide theme.Tables, especially if you specify the cell width in % rather than in pixels.
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/tables-in-wordpresscom-1?replies=9#post-2139727To create your own HTML tables see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/
Another good reference link is http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp
Note that if you use Windows then Windows Live Writer it has a tablemaker > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/ Note: Firefox users on Windows machines may need to clear the browser cache with ctrl+shift+del in order to get Firefox to recognize the formatting. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-of-word-files-with-tables?replies=6
Plus: search engines can read your text, and the text will be sharp and clear because it is, well, text. Note that some themes have odd CSS commands which you might need to over-ride with the html you write for your tables. For example automatically adding cell borders or background colors, forcing alignment to the left or center, and other not-very-attractive formatting (in terms of what you want to do).
Minus: there is a learning curve to writing tables, though for what you want to do, it should be easy enough. Also, sometimes tables do not act as you’d expect on small screens such as phones and tablets.Me?? I’d probably go with the table option.

div tags might work if the lines are short enough. I’m not much experienced what happens with divs when viewed on small screens. For desk computers or even laptops, they’d be the easiest solution. Can one specify the width of a div with %??? Otherwise there would be line-breaks on smaller screens.
