Crashed the above site

    I had a full backup created today – bansanghospitalappeal.org-20191229-112831-667.wpress – and during routine page edits one page lost its editing features.

    So I decided to use the fresh backup using import and it got stuck on database has updated. I can no longer log into the site.

    This is a charity website and I am desperate to get it back online.

    I did create another wordpress site – steve1smith.wordpress.com – and the import worked on that but I need my original site back please

    We aren’t able to provide direct support for sites using WordPress.org as this forum is for WordPress.com sites. If you aren’t sure about the differences, please check out this page: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

    Please contact your hosting service provider for help as they may have ways to restore the site to an earlier version. If they refer you to WordPress support, you may want to post on the WordPress.org support forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums

    Note that the site you mentioned, https://steve1smith.wordpress.com, is a WordPress.com site. And if you were able to import all content here, you can continue hosting your site with us. You’ll need to upgrade the site to a paid plan and then follow the instructions here to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site so that your site loads at the domain.

    But if you prefer to keep the existing site where it is and get back to an earlier version (or fix the issues), you’d need to contact your host or post on the WordPress.org forum.
