Crawl errors on Webmaster that don't make sense

    I am getting new crawl errors everyday with Webmaster: http://breakingtherubberband.wordpress.com/

    When I started I had categories relating to where I was in the process of my blog; Month 1, Week 1, etc. I stopped using them before I verified my site with Webmaster.

    Everyday I post I get a crawl error for my new pages showing these categories are missing – that don’t make sense.

    I also made the mistake of cleaning up my tags (I was a little hyper with them when I started) and this has also caused a lot of crawl errors.

    Will this damage me in the long wrong? I get a new crawl error every day post relating to these mystry categories.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
    All isssues with search engine are between the bloggers and the search engines. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/ I doubt what you describe will have any effect of your blog’s standing and pagerank with Google. http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35120

    Thank you timethief – the answer I was getting from Google didn’t make any sense – I was hoping someone else had this challenge. I had been to both the resources you had listed and unfortunately they did not have the answer.

    I still haven’t figured out how to even see pagerank with google.

    Every time I try to dig in and learn something I run into multiple roadblocks. My list of things to learn is longer than my blog. I will just focus on my content and leave all of this alone.

    Thank you for all of your assistance.

    @readytochangenow
    When someone links to a page or post or category or tag and you delete that post page or categoy the result is a crawl error. The same thing happens if you internally link to any of the foregoing in a post or page and then delete the post of page. Maybe that’s what happened here and maybe not. Please don’t fret about it. Avoid creating “404”s.

    There are many Google page rank checkers online but as your blog is still very new and as yet it is unranked and that’s not at all unusual. Focus on creating content and relationships. :)
