create a demain with wrong name

good morning yesterday I registered in worldpress and I was choosing the name for my domain… the problem is I clicked something by accident and now the demain is the name I wanted + too many numbers after it.
how can I change it? I’m sure there is an easy way but I’m new here -
If you created a free site with a subdomain ending in .wordpress.com then no doubt the reason the words had numbers added is because a site (or account) has already been created by someone else with the wording you wished to use.
You could create another free site and experiment with the wording before accepting to find something to your liking or at least get fewer numbers after the wording. Or you can if you prefer change the address of your existing site if you have already created some content there that you wish to keep.
