Create a free blog and restrict who can view it?

  Can I create a free WordPress blog and restrict who can follow or see the contents? For example, I’d like to create a blog (free) for the parents and students of my classroom. I don’t want to have just anyone be able to see the site or even follow the blog. Can I make the blog password-protected? Thanks!

  Hi there!

  You can set a free blog to be private. After you’ve set your blog’s visibility to private, you can invite specific people to allow them to read it, but they’ll need to create their own usernames/passwords if they’re not already users on WordPress.com. Follow the instructions here:
