  I can’t create a new site for free. Isn’t there a free option?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If you navigate to https://wordpress.com/start/, you can create a new site. In step 4, you can choose your plan. Please choose the Free plan on the page.
