    Hello @tully4

I was trying to see if I could make monthly payments in case I don’t end up liking WordPress.

I am sorry but currently there are no monthly payment option on any of the paid WordPress.COM plans. All the paid plans are billed annually and the total annual amount must be paid upfront at the time of the purchase.

What’s can I do if I do not like the Plan?
    You can:
    1. Try the plan for 30 days.
    2. Cancel the plan if you did not like it.

You will receive a full refund against your cancellation.

WordPress.COM has a 30-day refund policy on all their paid plans, except for Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. The refund period for Guided Transfers ends 30 days after purchase or as soon as your site has been moved, whichever comes first.

You can still cancel your plans after 30-days but you wont we refunded for your cancellation so it is suggested that you stay on the plan and let it expire.

    NOTE:

You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about a week to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it may take 5-7 business days to appear on your online bank account or in 1-2 billing statements.

    As stated here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

You can cancel your plans from the manage purchases section. Read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/

also I was told I had to pay extra for my domain name sandratully.com but now it is showing that the domain name is something different all together and the original theme I chose is not showing up. what is going on here?

Once you have upgraded to any one of the paid plans, you won’t have to pay extra to register a custom domain like ‘example.com’. Every paid plan comes with a free domain credit which you can either use to register a custom domain or map a domain that you might already own.

Let us know if these help. Thanks! 🙂
