I already have a web site elsewhere and am looking to create a web site with wordpress and once finished transfer my domain to wordpress. How do I do this?

You can choose the best suitable plan for your site . As of now don’t link your domain just start creating your site and when you will be finished with creating your site then you can either get your domain transfer to us or you can map your domain with us.

When you are ready to transfer your domain to WordPress.com, you will need to upgrade the plan, such as a Personal, Premium or Business plan, etc. and do mapping domain by following the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

OK. Thanks for the replies. I will select the free domain and when everything is ready transfer my own domain across.
Hopefully I can get the website looking good enough. It’s a shame there isn’t a trial version. I am usinf Wix at the moment and hope I can get SEO working better via the Business version of WordPress.Thanks again.
