Create a wordpress site with hosting / domains on GoDaddy

    Hello,

I have created a couple of different sites using Dreamweaver and I have the domains and hosting purchased through GoDaddy. I would like to re-create the sites in WordPress so that I can allow the clients to change content without having to email every time they want a change. I see that ‘domain mapping’ is an option but I don’t want to double my yearly cost for every domain I own. My question is, how do I create multiple sites in WordPress and connect them with their respective domains and hosting which are provided by GoDaddy. Do I have to switch to hosting with WordPress and transfer the domains over or is there any better method then ‘domain mapping’

  • You can host WordPress websites on GoDaddy. This is considered a self-hosted WordPress site. You can learn more about self-hosted WordPress at https://wordpress.org and the support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/.

GoDaddy’s Support Documents will also provide information on setting up WordPress on their hosting accounts.

    Hope this helps!

I am in the same boat and have no idea on how to go forward without screwing up the email server (about 14’ish email addresses)
