Create albums within a page

2 issues… when signing up for website it asked me to pick a address where I chose ‘vanessawileyphotography.com.’ It said it was available, and I proceeded with signing up. Signing in for the first time with my login and password and then went to edit website it made me create a whole new address and the first one I chose is now not available… probably because it already made me choose it before I signed up. I don’t understand where that went.

Second, I’m trying to create a tab in my menu labeled ‘albums’ which I figured out how to do… but when clicking on that tab I need to create actual pages each with different photography shoots. I can ‘add page’ and add in the photos I want, but how do I link those so they show up as a sub category under my ‘Albums’ tab? Messed around for over an hour last night and just got frusterated, any help would be appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

when signing up for website it asked me to pick a address where I chose ‘vanessawileyphotography.com.’

That’s a custom domain. See the Domains support page if you wish to pay for a custom domain. Free WordPress.com websites all have “wordpress.com” at the end of the URL.

Alternatively, vanessawileyphotography.wordpress.com is not presently registered, but it is reserved for you.

how do I link those so they show up as a sub category under my ‘Albums’ tab?

See the “Organize your menu” section of the Custom Menus support page. Instructions for making child links in the menu structure, and an animated demonstration, can be found under the subsection that begins “You can also add a drop-down to your menu using the drag-and-drop feature.”
