Create before committing?

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to create a website with WordPress before committing to the pricing tied to web hosting and domain registration?

Even though the pricing is very affordable, I wouldn’t want to pay for anything before I knew I could a website I was happy with. After that I would gladly pay to have the site up on the internet for people to visit.

    Thanks for any responses.

    Hi there,

If you start to create your site, there are one or two options for free domain names, listed under the recommended domain name. When you are asked to select a plan, there is an option to have a free plan at the top of the page.
You can also publish the site for free. When you go to make your site live, it will ask again if you want to buy a domain name or a plan, but there are options to keep the free domain name and plan.

I hope this answers your question!

  • Hi there,

As indicated above, you can set up a site on our free plan and a free subdomain we provide.

I just wanted to add that if you specifically want to try out features of the paid plans, that will require you to upgrade, but we offer a full 30-day refund on all plans should you not be happy with it.
