create gravatar account on the fly

  I am working in a import project where we have a multisite blog system other technology/languaje than wordpress.

  My import script works well and users-metadata are imported well but I did not find the way to import the users photos since wordpress 4.0 is using Gravatar for users pics. I researched in Gravatar site if there is a API to do this but I didn’t find anything. Old user’s photos are physical image files so I think I need a API to send that pictures using curl or something like that.

  The question is do you have a mechanism to acomplish this or do you know what approach I should to follow?

  Are you looking to import from WordPress.com, or WordPress.org?
