create landing pages with no navigation

I would like to create landing pages for my site which strip out the header navigation and don’t really fall into the menu navigation structure. Just a standalone page with a form on it an no other links away. Is this possible with my current site & template?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @echrisconnor : If you’d like to add the landing page to your current site, then you could hide the menu with some custom CSS. If you’re not familiar with CSS, it’s a coding language that’s used across the web to change the appearance of websites. Here at WordPress.com, it’s possible to add custom CSS to change certain parts of your theme’s design. Adding CSS, however, is only possible if you have the WordPress.com Premium or Business plan:

    WordPress.com Plans [Redirects to Plans]

If you don’t wish to purchase a plan, another option is for you to create a new WordPress.com site:

    https://signup.wordpress.com/start/

You can then add your landing page to that site and add an empty custom menu so that no items appear in the main navigation. It would then be possible for you to directly link to the landing page from your main site.

Let me know if that helps, or if you have any extra questions around those two options. Thanks!

Thanks. Rather than mess with the custom CSS for the rest of my site I like your second option — going with a totally separate site. It seems to be working already but how do you add an empty custom menu?

If you have no other pages on your separate site, then an empty custom menu isn’t absolutely necessary as the menu won’t appear on your site by default. If you do add pages in the future, then you can add an empty custom menu by following the instructions in the following guide, but skipping the step of adding pages:

    Menus

    Hope that helps!
