Create link in post to open graphic in media library

I want to create a link in my post to a graphic in my media library. I don’t want the graphic to appear in the post unless someone clicks the link. How do I do this? Thanks! – Tommy

  • Hi there – You can go to your Media Library, edit the image, and copy the file URL. For example:

Thanks Eurello. The problem is, I copy the URL and then go to the page I want to paste it into. When I click on the page in the spot where I want the link to go, the link icon greys out. Is it possible to paste the link (url address) into the middle of a page?

Oh! I see, you can just paste it in without involving the link icon, doh! One other question. Is there a way to “rename” the link. Like, have the link appear as “Dog Graphics” instead of the whole long address? In other words, make a pointer for the URL that can be clicked on instead of the actual address?

    Thanks! – Tommy

  • Hi Tommy – Just type “Dog Graphics” in your post, highlight that text, then click the link button and paste the full length into the little pop-up that comes up. Make sure you paste in the whole link starting with http://
